Hi, I need to change some Canadian dollars to American. Where can I find the best rate in the Sarasota/Osprey/Venice area (i.e. not banks)?

Yeah, banks are not the best. Can't speak for that locality but usually, try currency exchanges at airport, or downtown or american express offices.

I'm assuming you're talking about a significant amount of money for a house purchase or other major expenditure. If so, try customhouse.ca. Supposed to be much better than banks.
