And Mark Streeter was recently fired. Political cartoonists are a great societal bellwether and give a town a unique voice. He seemed to be fairly neutral in that he simply chose to poke fun at whatever was the topic or person of the day including local politicians at times. It seems like Consolidation is happening in every industry not just media. It's the 1920s or Gilded age again.

The current fee to receive a paper bill for the Savannah Morning news in the mail has increased to $9.

After Streeter getting fired and the $9 for a paper bill, I am about to get rid of my subscription. They need to give a discount when the paper is only 10 pages of poorly written garbage if they are going to charge extra for "special" editions.

Political cartoonist are critical for a society as they act as a foil to the current political leadership. It's honestly only the way a something political can be seen by both sides of the aisle. PC's are also the voice of the common man & on how many of them feel about the current political leadership, policies, & current events. Losing our political cartoonist is a blow to the city in ways she will suffer for the years to come.
