I guess I will find a B and B in Savannah for a few days in early October. I would prefer oceanfront place at Tybee but can't find a decent man who will chip in on the cost to go with me so I will save money and opt for Savannah. I like Savannah but love the beach, too.

I’m pretty sure there are showers at North beach, which is the beach at the lighthouse end of the island. Perhaps there are some at the Pier end also.half decent man? After all, it’s just a few days, right?

I mean, do you have a car? Bring some towels to sit on in your vehicle, and rinse your feet off before you put your shoes on. You can rough it for the 25 minute drive...

I forgot that there are foot rinser-offers at the end of each boardwalk to the beach. I drive 40 minutes to Tybee, and Ive never had a problem waiting to rinse off til I got home.
