Well, there was one February that was so warm that we went water skiing. And then there are late February freezes.. Sometimes it rains, sometimes it's so dry that the azaleas don't set buds as they usually do.

In other words, it's unpredictable. Usually, it's still chilly enough that you would want a warm jacket.

I'd have to say that February is one of Savannah's coldest months if not coldest. Keep in mind, this is Savannah we're talking about so its not gonna stay cold for very long.
Usually if we get snow at all, it'd either mainly be in January or February.. at least most of the time. (since I've been here; Aug '91)
Its not rare for it to jump up into the 70s during this time of the year either. It mainly stays in the 50s during the day and 30s and 40s at night though. Not too unbearable.

We are coming to vacation. I guess we'll just have to dress warm. Thanks.

February is one of my favorite months here. Like others have said it can be like spring or it can be like winter. You often can see early signs of spring. Some trees and flowers start blooming. You see bits of fresh green. Then it will turn freezing cold and rainy.

You can probably get a good deal on hotel rooms. You won't have to wait in line for anything. You can still go to the beach for a walk if it's not too windy. You'll enjoy it.

What about Paula Deen? Do you think we will have to wait there.

My 2 winter visits to savannah have both had me wearing shorts. But if you look at the weather data here on city-data.com for savannah, you'll see exactly the information you are looking for. Savannah tends to be warmer than most of the rest of the east coast of the US, but the range is pretty off the charts. Jan & Feb though are the driest months.

Kinda off subject, but has anyone been to Loose Lucy's in the Historic District?
