I'll second this. They are actually pleasant and helpful here. I've heard differing stories about the Eisenhower location.

I agree with this too. But it's a long, long way out there! They're also open on Saturdays which potentially makes for an interesting morning out in the country.

The tag office on Chatham Parkway (same side street as the newspaper hq) is also a much saner place than its counterpart on Eisenhower.

The tag office on The Island is one of most pleasent DMV kinda offices that I've ever dealt with.
Just sayin', is all.

But the Islands DMV is for tags only, not drivers licenses?

Haven't been to that one yet. I was just so plumb amazed to find one alternative to anything on Eisenhower, that now I am suffering from an embarrassment of riches. (in the tag dept. that is )
