Thanks! Fortunately we are only doing a day trip so no need for a place to stay. We may head to Hilton Head instead.

Is the Holiday inn Express on East Bay street near the parade? What about all the drinking festivities are they on River Street? It looks like it is only 1 block away. Does anyone know about how much drinks cost in the street

Does anyone know when the big party on river street is? I know it'll probably be on the 16th/17th, but will there be a huge ordeal the weekend before (13th-14th)?

I lived in Sav for 9 years and have celebrated every st pattys day there, even when I moved away. And Yes, I will be there this year. It is a crazy week. Be prepared to be loud, show some skin and see some skin and be hungover!!!

Drinks are anywhere from 3-9 bucks depending on how desperate you are to get one!

Just saw this thread...

I went last year and they had taxi's fixed at $10 a ride...
1) Are they doing the fixed taxi rate this year the weekend before?
2) What is the distance they're allowed to travel? Had a friend hotwire a room this year and he got Pooler...I think he can call and cancel, but he's cool with it if the taxis are still $10/each way.
3) Are you allowed to put a 12 pack in a backpack and drink them on river or is it only vendor cups?
