Though they are chains, Five Guys and Fudruckers have good, but very different burgers. B Mathews has a good one. Okatie Ale House in SC also has an excellent burger if you're out that way by accident.

maybe check out chowhounds. (just do a google search for it). that website keeps track of yummy food, all word-of-mouth. i have had a lot of luck with that site. anytime i go out of town i look up all the recommendations.
