As Padgett said, it's perfectly normal to eat alone at a downtown restaurant. You can always sit at the bar. I see lots of people do it, including myself from time to time.

Considering I'm reading this late, I doubt I can help you. You can always get decent deli take out from Parker's on Drayton St. till late at night. Most restaurants would probably fix you something if you asked. Just pick someplace and go in.

You can go to any of the pizza joints we're always arguing about. (Vinnie's, Screamin' Mimi's, Mellow Mushroom) No one cares there. They also do good takeout at Saigon.

This is helpful to me.. I will be visiting Savnnah again this coming week... Wednesday I am pretty much on my own so I am defintely doing take out.... I think I will head that place I think its called Chicago Hot Dog.. Boughton Ave? The food was phenom!
