I read that a while ago. I think it was developed by an aerospace company, may be General Dynamics or something in San Diego if my memory serves me correctly.

I didn't know what WD-40 stood for, thanks Tek (and I doubt much of the populations does either). And I have no idea what Kentucky chrome is but I'm probably afraid to ask.

Thought is was "wire dry". IIRC, that or something like that was the original use in vehicles.

Yes, I know. For someone who didn't lead a very sheltered life I missed some fairly obvious knowledge along the way.
