The good news is I'm learning it but at a SLOW pace (ex: now I know how to make presentation using powerpoint as well as unstalling programs I don't need anymore or other complicated things) but till this day that can be a challenge for me.

Seriously, I excel in math, history and all the other subjects except on computation & programming (the only class I have to work harder esp. on the final exam but hopefully the classwork will raise my grade).

In addition, I never passed driver's ed range exam. From an early age, that has given me some trouble while I have no problems with language acquisition, math or heavy reading materials without technological concepts (ex: instructions on restauration, the different types of virus, etc.).

While if I were asking my male cousin about computation, to him that's like knowing the ABC's. Ok, seriously what do you guys have that makes you computer or technology literate. I'm learning but it's taking me time to grasp those complicated terms and applications. It's mandatory for me to be computer literate for my career so I got no choice.

Is this about our relationship with technology?

Yes......

There is something in me that doesn't allow me to develop an excellent relationship with technology. The more technology the more difficult it's more me.

Example: I did my computation homework but really had to ask for help. Once, my classmate explained it I memorized. If not, I would be kinda lost.

I'm currently working from home now so I didn't realized this until now.
If anyone can moved this thread it would be wonderful. Anyone that can explain why it takes me too long to learn technology?

Wrong forum Sunflower...really there's nothing to it. If 6 year old kids can pick it up. These days computing is a breeze. Even back in the Windows 95 days the average user had to know some DOS commands. Now since almost all computers are connected to the internet everything is done/updated automatically. No more manual setups.

Technology is logical. Nothing mysterious or unpredictable about it. Actually no, scrap that, Windows can be darn unpredictable sometimes...

Logical? It's like the invention of a genius who wants me to get lost in the process.

I bet in 10-20 years from now, it's going to become even more complicated with new commands and/or programs.

My children all by the age of 9 used computers.

Computers are now in regular use in grade (k-5) schools.

Do you have some type of gender issue besides your computer inadequacies? I ask my cousins, I don't ask my "male" or "female" cousins.

Sounds like you really really need to see some type of therapist(s) and specialist(s)

Please tell us, at what age were you potty trained? 5, 6, or never?
I had my first computer when I was still 11 (4 shy of turning 12). I admit it was at first pure lazyness and as time went by, I would really use it to talk to people online, yahoo chats, homework assignments and other irrelevant things but not really to get the concept of computation.

It's only been 3 years since learning how to type fast without looking at the keyboard and now my speed is like 60 words per minute.

However, my older male cousin received his first computer at the late age of 19 and he became a computer technician in a faster pace. He learned it all while I'm still stuck at this.

Again, there are psychologists that specialize in your type of mental disorder.
