Is there any camping in or near Seattle? I prefer no KOA's or Cookie Cutter campgrounds but I can't find any campgrounds in the area. Doesn't have to be in the city but close would be nice.

There's the homeless camp on Marginal down by Terminal 115.

There is a nice private campground on Highway 900 a couple of miles toward Renton from Issaquah, some really nice ones off highway 202/203 in Fall City though they may flood this time of year. Most are located in more rural areas near the mountains or lakes. Several great ones on Lake Quinault in the Olympics, near the Snoqualmie Pass off I90, and my favorites, Lake Crescent
and Salt Creek, in the Port Angeles area. On the way there is the Sequim Bay State park.

You could always take the Ferry from Seattle over to Bainbridge Island I know there are a few places over there......or even drive up to Poulsbo area maybe?

Although its probably just as easy to drive out I-90 toward North Bend/Snoqualmie

You are probably not going to find much camping around the city because, well, its the city lol

Saltwater State Park is in Des Moines, right on Puget Sound. You can tent camp or bring your motorhome in. It is about 1/2 hr - 45 mins from Seattle depending on traffic.

You can also camp at Dash Point State Park in Federal Way, thought this is closer to Tacoma.

Some like to camp in Eastern Washington for the sunnier skies. We have camped on the Olympic Peninsula - Olympic National Forest Campgrounds
I don't know anyone that camps in the metro area.
