We aren't the worst drivers. Anyone who says that has never driven in St. Louis. So many over turned cars, huge pileups, and worst of all, people come to a dead STOP on highway onramps. It's like they never heard of the concept of merging.

Try using only 5 words a line. I almost accidentally swerved to the other lane of I-5 while scrolling so far to the right.

Yeah you swerved so wide you almost bashed into me and I lost my place in the post and had to start reading all over again.

Never underestimate the ingrained sense of guilt within the inculcated Seattleite. They KNOW they must not drive but do so any ways. Although it will be claimed that the driving is done out of necessity it is truly done because they are rebeling against the popular regional belief that anything other than utilizing mass transit and bicycle lanes is a sin against Gaia and the Democratic National Committee's stated credo on the use of fossil fuels. So, what happens with people who do what they are not supposed to do and are concious of their transgression? Their behaviour becomes erratic, through excitement from breaking the tabu as well as the anticipatory rush of being held accountable, eventually, for such a vile defilement of Mother Earth and her natural flora & fauna. Well, that and they know deep down how silly they are in so many impractical ways but continue on simply because they refuse to look childish - officially.

Am I joking?

Three different cars honked at me today. The one that was truly my fault was the Corvette that I nearly ran over changing lanes. You cannot see out of these giant SUV's. The third guy was just being as ass, and before erupting in an insane episode of road rage I remembered I'm older than dirt and probably souldn't be driving anyway.

I think if you only got a bigger SUV (or maybe a monster truck) you could just run over the corvette and not even notice if the radio was on loud enough. Problem solved !

I vividly remember riding in the station wagon with my grandparents on I-5 southbound around Northgate back in the 90's, and seeing a woman buried in a novel on the steering wheel, changing lanes and everything.

The updated reference would likely include a Kindle, however.
