Just wondering if anyone makes that commute and what it can be like. It looks like 90 W to 405 N and then 520, or 156th Ave North. The back way would be around Lake Sammamish. So I'd like to hear from people on the ground, as they say. Thanks.

West lake Sammamish or 156th/148th would be my vote. Also depends what time of day, which would help.

Many people use East Lake Sammamish Parkway, including a group of 30+ bicyclers that use the trail. Others use 228th across the plateau to Sahalee Way to 202 then 520, or cut through Marymoor Park. Depending on where you are in Issaquah there are many routes, and which to take depends on the time of day.

Depends. 90 to 156th or E. Lk Sammamish Pkwy... the best choice is to take the Connector, of course.

My husband is a seasonal cyclist and takes the E. Lake Sammamish Parkway route to the Preston Issaquah trail. Supposedly they are going to be paving the whole route... hope so... my husband got some ugly scars from wiping out on the gravel last summer.

Connector is Microsoft's own private bus line for employees. If you're a vendor you won't be able to take the Connector. If you're FTE, you'll learn more about it at orientation.

But you don't have to mess with highways at all from Issaquah to main Redmond campus. Now, if you switch to another location such as Belleuve or Seattle, that's a different story but then you'll have transit. It's easier than you think. Parking on campus can suck, so if you can take Connector or a bus you'll be better off.
