Between the hanging skin wrinkles and the protruding bones, i honestly would get so distracted that I'd occasionally miss the story. I'm hoping they get some nice eye candy to replace her, something in a 30 something brunette would be great!
This is harsh, but pretty much dead-on (I even agree about the weight thing, and wouldn't be opposed to seeing her replaced by a plus-sized girl if you doubt me). I wouldn't watch King 5 anyway because of Margaret Larson (yes, I know she's daytime, but news is news). A couple of her stories have left me pretty confident that she's a racist.

With regards to Enersen, it was time two decades ago. It's a young person's game. If I wanted to watch granny run down the daily highlights, I'd hit my local library's knitting circle. You might not like that people think these things, but thoughts such as this are hardly sexist (I'm not sure how they could be, considering that I've thought them myself and possess a vagina). I'd feel the same way, in fact, if she was a guy.

Frankly, I think it's awesome that Jean Enersen has managed to stay on the air.

I don't think TV is "a young person's game". That kind of thinking leads down a dark path. Don't believe me? Watch Univision sometime and come back and comment. Seriously.

If that's what you want out of your news, that sort of thing already exists (Vice, Univision, Telemundo, etc.). I don't need that garbage propagated in my local market.

By the way, Ms. Enersen is definitely not a racist. She's definitely a klepto, but not a racist. Ask me how I know.

I wasn't talking about Enersen with regards to racism -- that was Margaret Larson.

It is awesome and good for her. That doesn't change the fact that she looks very old and frail. That also doesn't change the fact that most broadcasters are younger and with tighter skin. I'm not sure how dark a path it could be when we are talking about network newscasters? That sounds overly dramatic to me. Judging from the amount of feedback I've gotten, I'm not alone, just one of few willing to say what people are thinking. I don't want to watch Univision or any other Latin American news. I want to watch American Network news and i expect the person on there to be pleasant to look at. For me that means young and beautiful, neither of which describe this woman. lets face it, all Network news people are simply reading the teleprompter, there is no great skill in that so the best they can offer is a good personality and looks to match, that's all they have. Im not sure how a younger and better looking newscaster is propogated garbage? lol
