I lost a tripod at the Snoqualmie Point Park around 12 AM Sat Sep 13. I packed up my camera and other stuff (light jacket, rain jacket) but left the tripod in the parking lot. I went back in about 45 min but it was gone. No one claimed to have seen or found it. This was a very expensive Gitzo 3541LS tripod legs with Arca-Swiss Monoball Z1 ball head on it. If anyone found it or knows anything about it, please let me know.

LOL: poor OP loses a Gitzo (top-end) carbon fiber tripod, 3-series, which is probably eight hundred bucks to replace. Not to mention the ballhead, another couple hundred at least. Professional-grade stuff, probably for long-exposures to catch the elusive aurora. Which I did not see, either, from my back porch in Kirkland, despite relatively clear skies.

Guessing missing the light show is the least of the guy's problems.

"Other than that, how was the play, Mrs. Lincoln?"

Check on craigslist. If someone is going to sell it it will be on craigslist, if by some happenchance the person who found it wants to use it you're out of luck.

EDIT: I'll give you a headstart - https://seattle.craigslist.org/searc...ripod&sort=rel

EDIT2: You might also want to check with the police station. If I found something that valuable (and knew it was that valuable) I wouldn't feel right keeping it...I'd take it to the nearest police department.
