I'm looking at hotels to stay at during the week of February 24th - March 1st, and everything is a little too out of my price range.

I was thinking of staying near the airport, but I'm not sure if I'll be renting a car. (Should I? I plan on going to Canada, too.)

The Inn at Queen Anne is just the price I'm looking for, but the reviews seem a little iffy.

Opinions?

You don't really need a car, you can use buses and an occasional Uber if you need to. If you are just going to Vancouver BC, the Amtrak is an easy way to go. https://www.amtrak.com/cascades-train
The Inn at Queen Anne isn't bad and the price is reasonable. Its location is ideal for access to the Space Needle, EMP and many places.

Also, in the same area, look at the Mediterranean Inn, MarQueen Hotel, Homewood Suites, Maxwell Hotel. All close to the Needle/EMP/Seattle Center and have excellent transit links to Downtown Seattle (so no need for a car).

Amtrak to Vancouver B.C. runs along Puget Sound most of the way and is very scenic. Just get there early and request a "water-side" window seat. In Vancouver, I recommend the Victorian Hotel, which is reasonably priced and close to Skytrain, Gas Town, downtown, and the waterfront. Downtown Hotels Vancouver, Vancouver Hotel Rooms, Boutique Hotel Vancouver | Victorian Hotel

A former colleague actually stayed there earlier this year for roughly four days and had no complaints. He described it as a no frills place and was pleased with internet service, along with proximity to public transportation. Good luck.

You might want to consider the Vermont Inn right by the Space Needle, and you can take the Boltbus or Quick shuttle to Vancouver as well. you should not need a car if u are downtown or by the airport (take the light rail directly downtown)- enjoy your vacation
