Please pick the number 1 choice for you. I'm leaving an "other/it's just me" choice for those who don't feel their opinion is represented.

You left out NATURAL BEAUTY. Beauty everywhere...
I didn't realize we could check only one item. I checked several, including Climate which I love. I think it tallied just "Economy".

Good point, I was thinking that scenery and all of the activities that go with it (photography, sightseeing, relaxing and enjoying a view of the mountains, going to the lake, etc) would fall under recreation/ammenities, but I guess that could overlap with climate a little.

Also, I should have (but forgot) to add cleanliness/low pollution as a factor.

I wanted to state one of the reason we stayed was we make double what we used to in Calif...so I choose affordability. We bought a house here when Calif was insane

This question struck me as funny. I think I'm the exception, however, I'll say that the main thing keeping me here is that it's too expensive to leave. Not sure that makes sense.

I guess the point is that the title sounds like the answer should be positive, but what's keeping me here is not.

Same here too Citygirl. That is the main reason why we are here is for dh's salary alone! AFter a couple years we'll have saved enough to go back and buy some land and build a home!

My husband's job keeps us here until he gets transferred again. And my daughter. She lived here for a year before we came out.....but I will want her to go with us when we leave. Of course, she might leave before us....she loves it here but is definitely homesick. Oh, and she came out for a good career and school.

Career choices keep us here. And I like the natural beauty. The lush green forest and ferns are beautiful- who can deny that? The water views over the Sound can be postcard perfect.

Surprised not to have seen more response to this one given the high number of people in the other poll who voted that they either like Seattle or are optimistic about moving here.

Everyone on the forum has already moved on to Texas, which is a magical land full of fairies, unicorns and lollipops. Everyone there is constantly smiling at each other and the streets are paved with gold.
