Crossroads- Working class, & very Cultural. cheapest real estate out of the 98008 zip code.
Downtown Seattle- all about the arts Museum's, theater and CEOS.

Madison Park and Medina (to name two off the top of my head) might disagree.

Coming from Atlanta....it's quite a change. Heck, in my high school in South Georgia, it was like 40 percent white, 40 percent black, 20 percent hispanic and one asian girl.

Issaquah is not the first place I've seen a teen driving a BMW. It is the first place I've lived where it seems EVERY teen drives a BMW, Mercedes or Porsche. Or at least a pretty nice, new car.

It's sort of wild to realize that quite a few of your neighbors make $100,000 or more a year....on a single income.
Hell, I visited Newport High School in Bellevue once and a young kid, with his girl friend pulled up next to me in his Ferrari. My mouth hit the ground.

Anyone know of an area in the city where I can find both inexpensive rents (aka, no more than $1200/month), AND low crime? Are there many blacks and hispanics in Seattle? And does it really rain every day? Or do natives just say that to keep newcomers away? I'm graduating college next year with a degree in Accounting. Can I find a good job in the city or nearby? How's the economy?
