"These ventilators are going to New York and others states hardest hit by this virus," Inslee said. "I’ve said many times over the last few weeks, we are in this together. This should guide all of our actions at an individual and state level in the coming days and weeks."

Washington state continues to prepare for increased hospitalizations and the necessary treatment of serious cases of COVID-19. The state recently purchased more than 750 ventilators, which are expected to arrive over the next several weeks when Washington may need them most.

Very proud of Inslee for doing this. Oregon is sending a hundred too. Blue states need to stick together. Apparently the federal ventilators don't have the pressure needed for Covid so these can be used to free up ventilators that can be used for Covid.

"...the surgeon general alluded to Pearl Harbor,” Inslee said on Meet The Press on Sunday. “Can you imagine if Franklin Delano Roosevelt said, ‘I’ll be right behind you, Connecticut. Good luck building those battleships.’”

Did you see the Arkansas governor roll his eyes when Inslee said that? He's like, "ugh another FDR reference...".

Let's see how Arkansas fares in this. Apparently Kentucky isn't doing so well.

Washington received 500 ventilators from the federal stockpile, so has kept some. They were able to buy 750, which are due to be delivered. So that's over 800 additional ventilators over what they originally had.

This is perhaps great news for Washington. As the curve apparently is going down. Also great news for other States that need more.

A decontamination system being set up at Camp Murray should be able to clean and sterilize 80,000 N95 respirator masks a day. Apparently they've found the masks can be used up to ten times, if properly treated. Hopefully this will address the mask shortage, at least in the near term.

Spoken like a true blue?

One moment we are doing great, things are good. Then he changes his mind at the first opportunity to blame Trump? Which is it? Going good and we can send supplies to other states, or we are hurting and need help?
Inslee is a partisan, washed up presidential candidate who is desperate to stay relevant.

First, Trump has been sending red states everything (and more than) they ask for and sending blue states less, half or nothing.

Second, Inslee asked for 1,000 ventilators, received 500, then found they don't work anyway because the Covid patients need a higher pressure than the federally provided ventilators can produce. Is it due to Trump ending the maintenance contract for them last year? Regardless, what Inslee did offer is to send 400 of the federally provided ventilators to New York in order for them to give those to non-Covid patients that don't need the higher pressure. I thought that was clear with all the links provided but apparently not.

Inslee ordered 750 new ventilators that can provide the pressure Covid patients actually need and they are supposed to arrive shortly. And yes, Inslee called out Trump for his "states, you are on your own" approach.

Trump disbanded the pandemic team, ended the maintenance contract last year, ignored what was going on in the rest of the world and gives the blue states less equipment than his red state minions who also have issued lockdowns much later, resulting in continuing to infect the rest of us.
