I would also reiterate to stay with the crowds from T-Mobile to Pioneer Square, which is probably as close as Seattle gets to a "dangerous" neighborhood. Since you're not intimately familiar with the city, don't walk down dark or strange alleys, don't go huddle up under the freeway ramps. Obvious stuff, but street smarts are a good thing everywhere.
