With gas prices I always tip the pizza guy $3 when he delivers. That is up from $2 last year. Also I have heard that, if you stiff the pizza guy, he will note your address and the next time you order he will put something nasty in the pizza for you!

Besides that, being a bartender, I don't even get a paycheck. They are all void when I claim 10% of my sales. I solely rely on tips.

I always trip 20%.

Usually when I see people who don't tip, or don't know how to tip, it seems to be a class issue. Usually the person is liberal too.

my son has been delivering pizza part time and he's making excellent tips (scottsdale, az). his pay from the pizza place is $3 per delivery so he really appreciates good tips. not that i'm biased, but he's a darn good looking kid, and he smells good as previously stated, the delivery person uses their own vehicle (my son has a new car that he is paying off) and pays for their own gas, so come on everyone show them the green!!! afterall, all you had to do was get off the couch and answer the door

Well, maybe it's really an income issue... which in the U.S. is also a "class" issue, eh?
Veltz, I'm a liberal, and I tip liberally because I do enjoy good service and really love it when others do stuff for me so I don't have to!

And if so, that's not the tipper's responsibility. The tipper is responsible for living his own values, not for playing hall monitor to somone else's values, right? Otherwise, we'd have governments and religions and hate groups and hate radio and hate TV, and wouldn't that be messy!

Actually in my book that more reason to tip them. I always tip. Just kidding min my first. I always feel like a dick if I don't tip somebody for anything.
