I gave once to a GoFund me. It was for a co worker who had a son killed in a freak accident.

I wouldnt give to someone I dont know personally.

I've donated to several kickstarter funds. Got a worthless tracking device out of one and a CD I've never watched from another.

I don't donate to GoFundMe. If I don't know the person, I don't donate. If I know the person, I just give the money directly.

Yes I have, three I think. I feel totally comfortable in doing so, based on the media stories I read. I am probably more cynical/hard-nosed about "giving away" my hard-earned money than most, so for me to do this for people I have never met means I felt totally comfortable in doing so.

Once for an animal care request, the other 2 for being victims of crime.
