You are talking about a difference of opinion about how you think the machines should be used, a minor inconvenience because the other customer apparently didn't see anything wrong with what she was doing. It's between the two of you, not something the store needs to police. Heck I get annoyed by the folks who stop right in front of the product I want to grab while they proceed to have some kind of reunion or gabfest for ten minutes, but I'm not going to expect the store to fix it for me and tell those idjits how they are being inconsiderate and to move it along.

How is the other person not a customer, because they had more bottles then you?

My parents used to save aluminum cans. We would just throw them into a 40 gal trash can, and my dad would take it to the recycling center once it was full. It would have been a waste of time to take only a few cans at a time. I don't know much about bottle deposit machines, but I would think its the same with some people waiting until they have more then just a few bottles to return.

I don't think the stores should police how many bottles they can return at one time. If someone is returning a lot of bottles when you get to the store, I would just do my shopping and get again afterwards. I would just save my bottles for another time. As another poster said, its not really worth the 10 cents.

Some things are just pretty obvious if you have half a brain. I'm not saying you don't so don't take it as an insult.

Per the law, the person is not required to be a customer of that location.

As I said, I'm not familiar with deposit bottle returns, so no its not obvious to me. No need to be rude about it.

She obviously thought nothing wrong of it, and you did.. Two opinions on this, as is everything else. The world doesnt revolve around anyone in particular, none or us are special

They probably would accommodate OP by accepting her cans at the office though. We did when this was my job.

When all of the machines are taken, yes. Wait your turn. I hate when I have a big bag and people make snide, passive aggressive comments. I was there first. Wait your turn. But when someone is using two at once, they are in the wrong. Unfortunately there is nothing that can be done about it.

You have a few options that I see:

1. Wait your turn.
2. Come back some other time.
3. Ask them if you can return your bottles ahead of them.
4. Give them your two bottles.

I'd pick option 4 because it's a few cents and any time wasted on this is worth more than $0.10 or whatever.
