What about it is so hard to believe &/or shocking? There are a lot of disgusting a-holes out there who don't care about others.

Look at the video again. I don't know if he is deliberately, malicious spitting on it. To me it looks like, he is licking his fingers to clear the delivery label, then scanning to confirm his delivery. He is taking out an electronic device, scanning something, then leaving.
Bad judgment? Of course! But they are always in a hurry. If the label was somehow soiled, he did what he had to do to proceed.
I am not excusing him. Just not sure if he was purposely contaminating the box.
