Same with food. "We went to Ruth Chris, I had the sirloin and twice baked potatoes, it was awesome." A bit of a brag, but not out of the bounds of decorum. "We went to Ruth Chris. I had the Sirloin and Twice Baked potatoes, it was delicious, we spent $350." Boorish.
No one is spending $350 for a meal on this Facebook page.

But am I going to pay $25 for $7 worth of food?

You picked the ONE SKU offered that had ground beef over $5/ lb. Only 85/15 is that high. That is really cherry-picking at its worse.

Kroger 93% Lean Ground Beef 16 oz

$3.97
Kroger 93% Lean Ground Beef, 16 oz - Fry’s Food Stores

I there any reason you can't buy the 93% instead of 85%?

Taste, the more fat the better the taste. 93% is tasteless, not much fat.

Then get the 80% for $4.29 and you get better taste for much less than your 85%.
