Excellent to see!!!! LowCountry has the world's premier plane manufacturer and Upstate has the world's premier automotive manufacturer. Now if the Midlands could just bring something to the table......
It's already bringing the biggest GDP to the table.

Like really, come on, seriously, no way.
Like despite both regions having those assets, Columbia still having the states highest GDP. What else does it need? Seriously I don't even know why bothering to bring data in a conversation on this site its like talking into an echo chamber, even though ironically enough its called "City-Data" (Go Figure), it should be called "City Feeling", ...in fact I think I'm gonna notify an Admin right now to change the name.
Anyway,
"Vous Allez"...

hmmm... we are catching up though, since 2009 we have gone up about 5k while columbia has gone up about 3k
Charleston's has gone up a little over 4 billion while Columbia's has gone up about 2 billion during that time. With Boeing's new investment and Richland County's game-changing penny sales tax improvements opening up 9,000 for new development just south of Columbia, it should be an interesting neck and neck, simultaneous affair. Columbia always somehow just keeps on keeping on.

I can tell you where I work, in Florence, we are having a very hard time filling professional positions and are having to recruit like crazy out of state.

Don't forget about all of the insurance companies expanding in Columbia also.
And Columbia's got Unitrends. It just acquired a Philadelphia company.
