Been doing LOTS of research on Bluffton. We do have a realtor that sends us listings every day. I would love to hear from anyone living in any of the Bluffton neighborhoods: The Farm, Westbury Park, Bluffton Park, Cypress Ridge and any other ones you can comment on. Our budget is tops $250-260.

All good neighborhoods- zoned to three different elementary and 2 different middle and high schools if that is of any concern. I would take that into account if necessary.

Thank you FLmom77. We came down in January for a week. Have visited this area probably 4 times over the years. Husband grew up in Beaufort of the time (marine kid). We do have a 12 year old who would be entering 7th grade in the fall. Looking ahead at the high schools, May River and Bluffton - either one I think would be fine unless I hear differently from others who have kids there. Very exciting but huge move from Wisconsin.

Default Retirement communities

Can anyone speak to which is the best retirement community in Bluffington? We are both retired. Wife quilts and I target shoot. Born and raised in the South, lived all over. Never lived in a retirement community but have lived in Florida with a strict HOA. Budget is $450K, cash buy.

The obvious , established retirement community is Sun City. I have friends that live there and they all love it.

I agree with John. We just moved in to Sun City. We have been here a week. The people are very friendly, and there are tons of things too do. We still get lost alot, as the community is huge.

My wife and I will be also moving to Bluffton soon. We are both in our mid-30s and my son is 12. My wife really liked Westbury Park area, but I was wondering if there are other areas to look for real estate? Our budget probably maxes out around 200.

We are moving there for my wife’s job and I haven’t secured a job yet. I’m a licensed social worker in Florida and I’m hoping to be able to find something in the area. I have worked for a hospice for six years so I’m thinking that that will be my safest bet, at least starting out. I was hoping to find work in Bluffton, but a lot of the people my wife has met at her interview suggested that I work in Savannah. Does this seem accurate? She will be at the Westin resort at Hilton head, so we will likely need to live in Bluffton to minimize the commute.

I don't think we are allowed to list names of realtors or real estate companies here, but I should tell you that you really need to find a LOCAL agency.....not one of the big chains. They have better websites, etc.
