As of 01 July 2019, South Dakota became the 14th Constitutional Carry State. Very cool. But what about South Dakota knife laws? It is my understanding there are no laws against carrying any type of blade, concealed or otherwise, same as my former Arizona. In Nevada, Clark County, where I lived for sixteen years, you could get thrown in the slam for having a folding pocket knife with a blade longer than 3.50 inches! I believe they have changed that, too however. Now, literally anything one uses or attempts to use as a deadly weapon is considered a deadly weapon.

Not sure of the current law. It used to be nothing concealed with a blade longer than 2 7/8 inches long.
Cool. I keep my carry concealed, so's not to frighten any hoplophobes and have them cause an unnecessary fuss. My carry is purely for self-protection. I stopped helping people in distress long ago, as no good deed goes unpunished. If I don't know the person, the only exception being children, let whatever happen to them anymore. Not worth the trouble they cause you. I know from experience. Get out of there and vanish quick!
