Thanks.....we are going with some people I've never met--friends of my husbands--so I do have to say I am not super excited, but I am sure we'll end up having a great time. I have been to Cedar Shores before--not to stay, but to just visit, and it looks really nice. It is quite a deal that renting a room includes a slip for your boat.

Cedar Shores is awesome .... We used to have a family reunion (small) out there every summer, but eventually everyone got too busy. The hotel there actually used to be a Radisson, so it's nice... a little spendy though. You can rent paddle boats and bikes. There is also a nice restaurant (Bridges Bar & Grill) inside the hotel. Have fun on your trip, nanjosbrand!

Thanks!! Yeah, I am not too stoked about the $100 per night rooms, especially when we stayed across the river on the east side at the American Campground for $14 per night in a lovely campground that suited us just fine. It was close to the local nightlife, which I like to check out when I visit a town.
Oh well, this time I am going with my kids as well as my husband, so there will be no partaking of nightlife. Just good ole fashioned relaxing on the river during the day---hang by the pool at night!!
