Here is a preview of the capabilities that can make your computer into the "world's most versatile telescope".... WorldWide Telescope
And here is where you can obtain a download from Microsoft that literally turns your computer into one of the most powerful telescopes that many Astronomers themselves use.... http://www.worldwidetelescope.org/Ex...ge=DownloadWWT YOU'LL BE AMAZED AT WHAT YOU CAN DO! .
While WWT is nice, it is too cluttered for my taste. Try Stellarium too. Free as well, but much easier to use and locate objects (although it doesn't have all the high-res imagery of WWT). Used extensively by amateur astronomers.

I'll check it out; I am not familar with this site. WWT can be a bit complicated, but when you get the hang of it; the possibilities are nearly limitless! Thanx....
Thanx for the rep...6 foot 3...you'll be engrossed for hours with all you can do with this application!
Your definitely welcome ... and while i admit that astronomy is not my strong point in science as i'm more into the science of anti aging however i did enjoy the link with the interactive space tours etc. .

I'm glad another poster has checked the website and enjoys the telescope...remember besides the tours....you can "direct" each telescope or combine them into composite images...... PS...I enjoy the 3D solar system mode...you can rotate Jupiter, Saturn etc. in all directions..very cool following how Jupiters' weather systems change at different lattitudes...... PITTS.
