Whatever. You said you were done responding to my posts yet this is the second time I've seen you do just that. Disingenuous statements and clear lack of follow though are earmarks of The Salesman. And you wonder why the subject of realtor misconduct is so frequently raised on these boards. So you've lived in Colville a few years. I lived there a decade, both on rural and town property. I KNOW about the nepotistic provincialism that looks the other way where crime (violent or otherwise) is concerned and either fails to report or misreport. For a small town it spends a disproportionate amount of time pandering to the homeless, as evidenced by the disturbing increase in their population and ads like this one in the local paper: "EVERYBODY DESERVES A second chance at life Colville Men’s Oxford House Clean sober living…." There's a reason property values plummet anywhere near such "houses." All that aside, three murders (that I'm aware of) occurred near my Colville rural property and an unidentified body--unrelated to the murders-- was found at a neighbor's rural home. I could not in good conscience recommend Colville to anyone concerned about crime. Conversely, friends living on acreage just outside Cheney for 20 years have experienced nothing of the sort. Maybe they're just categorically uninformed. Whatever the case, they don't feel the need to post their property with the "keep out" signs so prevalent in Colville.

Yet the scientific data from City Data (this website) clearly states otherwise.

But, again, I must be a Realtor if I cite scientific data, I guess...

For a small town Colville does have more than it's fair share of vagrants and other types you wouldn't want to meet in a dark alley. Meth, heroin, and poverty disturbingly prevalent in Colville.
Emphasis mine.

When did you live there?

Is this a confession? What years did you live in Colville?

Uhh…yeah. Emphasize “mine” because this a forum where members are encouraged to draw upon personal experience--among other things--to help others. Sorry if that interferes with anyone’s sales agenda. And I’m not about to “out” myself by posting years of when I lived where....jeeesh. You can’t have my phone number, either.

Really.

As a Spokane transplant from the east coast, I always wondered why their high school wasn't nicknamed the Crackers.

On the other hand, when you're driving home to Spokane from a wild weekend in Seattle, with your left front tire swallowing up the lane markers through the fog and the gloom of that eastern Washington twilight, it was always oddly comforting to see that Ritzville sign pop up on the freeway, knowing that you were only about an hour from home. There's a lot to be said for a town that makes Spokane seem comparatively sophisticated and desirable, and where you can get a chicken fried steak slathered with cream gravy any time you want it.

Roll on, Ritzville. An oasis in the fields of winter wheat. A harbinger of better things to come.

So we're supposed to believe the crime is really bad in Colville because you lived in Colville ... at some point? Places change. If you're experience was from the 70s or 80s it means something different than if your experience was last year. Without a time frame, your personal experience is nearly meaningless. No one asked for your personal information - name, address, dates you moved, etc.

Sorry if asking questions interferes with anyone's trolling agenda.

Your defensive stance is uncalled for. I've shared observations of an area I resided in for several years. I am not comfortable divulging data on a public forum regarding when I lived where…period.
