Hi folks,

Researching various cities for relocation and noticed that the weather forecast right now looks HOT, yet the average high temps for Spokane are in the low 80s. I'm wondering what a typical July day feels like in terms of average high temperature & humidity - are most days in the upper 80s and 90s, or is this just a heat wave now?

77 for a high and sunny here today. If this is A heat wave, I'll take it.

5 of the next 8 days on the weather.com forecast have highs in the 90s, 2 of those above 95.

77 seems more of an outlier than an average?

Average temp this time of the year is high 80's, so 90's aren't that far from the norm.

We don't have high humidity here, so 90's is very bearable...in fact, it's nice!

It gets hot during the day but at night the temperatures drop. We moved here last August and we have not used air conditioning for the house and it is pretty comfortable even during the day (I just close the windows around 10:30 am) and reopen them in the pm.
And the lack of humidity allows you to enjoy the sun and hot during the day. We lived in Southern Jersey for 11 years and we were pretty miserable from the end of May until September if we were not in the pool or on the beach. High humidity sucks (we all developed allergies that are gone since we moved here).

Yeah, but what about that six-month winter? Bet you wish you were back in Vineland (Millville? I forgot where you're from -- and seriously -- wouldn't you like to be down the shore? Wildwood? Seaside? LBI?)

Thanks everyone - definitely interesting if the normal highs are upper 80s & lower 90s, yet the official "average temps" are in the low 80s - wondering if things are hotter than they used to be?

That being said, sounds like there are no complaints in terms of the heat as the humidity makes it a different experience than other parts of the country.

Much appreciated everyone!
