Soccer is just boring to me. American/canadian football is the best.
That's fine; however, you do realize that the average NFL game only has 12 minutes of action in a 3 hour and 15 minute span, right? Calling soccer boring and then saying you like football is kind of odd. When you watch a football game, you are watching over 3 hours of commercials and players standing around with sporadic 7-8 second burst of action. Soccer is 90 minutes of constant movement from 22 players.
I think you dont like soccer because you dont understand it.

That's one of the first things that drew me to the sport....the lack of commercials. Once the clock starts the play never stops, except for HT and the end of the match.
And now that there's access to European club football every weekend, you can watch the best in the world..
Those that say soccer is "boring' or some other such nonsense...just don't understand the intricacies of the game..
Isn't it nice how that only works because you are North America (most of the world calls it football) and its funny, because everything about North american soccer sucks. Don't get me wrong I love soccer, and I watch MLS, but the league has a long way to go until it can compete with the rest of the world.
As I am a sports fanatic, I am not going to argue with you on your response but I am truly curious to know why, if you generally like sports but don't like soccer...why not?
I know the most common reasons are:
1) It's boring.
Sure, when you hear about 0-0 ties it sounds boring but have you watched it?
No, when I try I realize its boring and change the channel. The last interesting thing that happened in soccer was that woman taking her shirt off. Was there anything interesting in soccer that happened before that?

2) I don't understand it.
Did you try to watch it? No matter which sport you follow I'm sure you didn't come out of your mothers womb knowing all about it. Somebody had to teach you.
I don't understand hockey or lacrosse, but I watch them because they're entertaining.

3) It's hard to follow.
It's a big ball. Unlike a hockey puck.
It's hard to follow because its boring.

4) It's un-American
True, true, true. But in reality the only sport that is "American made" is basketball. All the others have been "Americanized" from other sports.
Football=Rugby
Baseball=Cricket
Soccer is a great sport for socialist countries as everyone works really hard, but no one ever gets very far ahead. That's why its unAmerican.
