Hopefully NOT!
Although there are those in the local Chamber of Commerce and some reali-ta-maters that encourage the migration, there are several reasons that Table Rock Lake will never be like LOTO.
1. It is not a privately owned lake, like LOTO. TRL is strictly (and wisely...
) controlled by the Corp of Engineers, who built and still manage the lake. Although the residents occasionally chafe at the restrictions in tree-cutting and such, it serves well to maintain the natural beauty of the lake and surrounding woods.
2. Proximity to major metropolitan areas. We aren't anywhere near a real city. Springfield is a nice big town, has opportunities like multiple colleges (we just have one) and theater (we just have fun shows, not "real" theater) and conventional shopping like Macy's and JCPenneys and the like. But not the population base to make this lake like THAT lake...IMHO.
Just one girl's humble opinion, OzarkBoy...
