Does anyone have a good jewelry designer they would trust and recommend? I want to have my wedding rings reset into a non-wedding ring style of some sort and want to find a designer I can trust.

The only two designers I knew that I would trust are gone. One died and the other went out of business. The best way I know to find what I want is to talk to the jeweler - not all are designers - and ask to see some of his work. They love to show off. Then make several trips back tot he store to see what is in his display cases. A good designer, in my opinion, not only has the cookie cutter jewelry, he also has unique pieces. And if he/she is really good, you will be able to find loose 'fancy' diamonds. Not that you want to buy them, but they are gorgeous stones. The more you know the jeweler, the more you will be able to determine his stills and knowledge. You might start with the oldest jeweler in town simply because the know the work of the other jewelers. You may ultimately find yourself at a store like Miss Jackson's in Tulsa as it is very upscale and they have some beautiful designs, or you may be in St. Louis. You want to find a very special jeweler for a very special job. Any jeweler can mount stones in a blank, but not all can design a beautiful ring. National jewelers do not design rings; they sell them.
