I'm posting this in the St. George sub forum, hopefully the locals can come up with the latest news, I didn't see a thread in the Utah forum.

I live 17 miles from the Utah border, off Interstate 70, we've been getting quite a bit of smoke the last few days coming up from the St. George/Cedar City area.

How's the containment going on this fire? CBS News last night said the fire is now at 44,000 acres. Didn't mention percentage of containment.

Whatcha got on this, Utah people?

Looks like the town of Brian Head will reopen on Friday ahead of the holiday weekend. Containment is at 15% - mostly around the resort. 58,000 acres burned (approx. 90 square miles - e.g. a 10 mile by 9 mile swath). Roughly 1,700 personnel actively fighting the fire. Here's a good resource to keep track: https://www.utahfireinfo.gov/
