My husband and I have been researching so many places to move. It seems the one state we both agree on is Utah. It is probably the most beautiful place on earth...at least that we have seen. We have spent the last two spring breaks in Zion and Bryce Canyon hiking and biking with our kids. Utah has so much to offer as far as recreation goes and the weather is not bad either. We love Southern Utah because we have family in Vegas so we wouldn't be too far.
I'm trying to find out if there are any communites where people have horses and there is access to trail riding. Maybe a community arena or just people who ride together. We love the St. George area and Hurricane as well.
We have 3 boys in school so good schools are also important.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Horse communities that I am aware of are:

Winchester Hills
Dammeron Valley
Little Valley
Veyo
Enterprise
Diamond Valley
Most areas on the outskirts of the City of St George. There is a lot of open land for horses. However, you'll be 30-40 minutes or so from the city.

The area near the Santa Clara/St. George border has horses and a feed store, and is only 5 miles or less (10-15 min.) from St. Geo. There is a horse trail off Snow Canyon Parkway, near No. Bluff street.
I see riders go by my house. I remember reading about equestrian communities with arenas. One was up near Cedar City. A realtor could help you a lot with that kind of information. The Spectrum newspaper has occasional articles about horse activities. Hurricane is less convenient for visiting family in Las Vegas, and it is windier than the St. George area.
