The problem with companies like Amazon is that they exploit their monopoly power to extract profit from low-paid workers, and they are also exploiting the underpriced externalities associated with burning gas delivering packages everywhere. So they're impoverishing workers and the planet at the same time. Although they can hardly be said to be worse than Wal-Mart and other prior retailers in many respects, just a different monopolist for a different generation.

Sp true. I use to be a Amazon shopper but those days are over. There are plenty of online options to help small businesses and entrepreneurs.
