If you could put all the foods St. Louis is famous for on a plate, what would they be?

I guess it depends on what you consider "famous." It might be an empty plate.

Toasted ravioli? St. Louis style pizza?
Is Bosnian cuisine entrenched enough for there to be favorite Bosnian dish among the locals?

Maybe in the city, but it hasn't bled out across the metro. I honestly couldn't even tell you what constitutes Bosnian food.

As for other St. Louis foods beyond pizza and toasted raviolis, there's also gooey butter cake, concretes (it's alleged that Diary Queen based their blizzards on them), a slinger, St. Louis style BBQ, etc.

Well, it wouldn't be healthy

I'd have ribs and BBQ (from Pappy's or Sugarfire probably), Toasted Ravioli, STL pizza (which I like but do not love), Ted Drewes, and Gooey Butter Cake. The last 2 are pretty universally adored by everyone who comes to visit. And I've never met anyone who didn't love the BBQ either. Pizza and T Ravs, more of a toss up.

I do like Bosnian food but I don't think it's caught on, at least not in areas where there isn't a Bosnian population (I'm out west, but we travel, especially for different foods).

BBQ pork steaks are kind of an old fashioned St. Louis thing.

They might be my (non native) husband's favorite STL food He's constantly wondering why he'd never heard of this before Not my personal favorite though.

Not mine either, although I do enjoy them on occasion in the summer.

Ironically, Straubs in Clayton was serving them today at their deli for lunch, which I was surprised to see.

If you want to talk about food with an influence outside St Louis, it is definitely St Louis style barbecue (especially St Louis style ribs, but also pork steaks).
Concretes and toasted ravioli have definitely spread outside the region, but few people connect them to St Louis.
St Louis style pizza and gooey butter cake are regionally famous, but have not spread much farther. Slingers seem to be a thing through the midwest; might fall into the same category as concretes and toasted ravioli, but with even less clear origins in St Louis than the other two.
The St Paul sandwich is another food definitely of St Louis origin that has spread out of the region without recognition that it is from St Louis (particularly because of the sandwich's name).

I was with the understanding that STL ribs describe the cut of the actual meat, not the method of preparation. Is this correct...?
