A political topic I'd like to discuss (St. Louis: crime rates, attorneys)

Regarding the St. Louis area. But I'm not sure if it should go in the politics forum, or the St. Louis forum. Can someone advise?

Might want to elaborate on the topic. Are you talking about a specific city council election, or some sensitive, politically charged topic like abortion and gun control?

I've heard a little about the AG is wanting to take her out of her elected position. There seems to be a movement throughout the country for similar take overs. Missouri is also wanting control of the police department sponsored by the fraternal order of police.

And without even knowing what Snazzy is wanting to discuss, you have made this all about those terrible republicans and racism because Kim Gardner is black and a democrat. Maybe Snazzy really wants to discuss Kim Gardners lack of ability in running her office regardless of race, political affiliation, or gender.

I don't think you know what I am writing about. I'm not labeling people and not everyone in the GOP is bad. Just as not every democrat is racist or bad.

We have to look at the patern of behavior with in the area. The media is bat crazy with misinformation concerning city residents especially Black residents.

I know Kim Gardners office has made some serious mistakes but need to gather more information before forming opinions of what the answers are. I don't think we can blame her for rising crime rates in St Louis and Missouri like the media wants to program mostly White suburban and rural residents.

Oh it's pretty clear what you're writing about and you've continued with this latest post. Here's a link from court proceedings just yesterday concerning her performance (lack of) where the judge is going to appoint a special prosecutor to build a contempt case against her. And in the judges words "Gardner's office appears to be a "rudderless ship of chaos” that forces attorneys to handle untenable caseloads, Noble said.

"It appears that Ms. Gardner has complete indifference and a conscious disregard for the judicial process," he said."

Gardner didn't even bother to show up to answer questions in front of the Judge to defend herself. She sent someone else in her place. And before you raise the Media and misinformation concerning "mostly Black residents" again, Note the race of the Judge that is disgusted with her "rudderless ship of chaos". The media in STL (very left leaninng) is not spinning the news with misinformation concerning her performance.

Once again your comment shows that you didn't want to understand what I wrote. Left leaning media can be racist as well. I just want facts. Not left leaning or right leaning. The resource you are referencing is very racist. Always has been Always will be and can't be trusted. As far as the judges comment, I could care less. Show me the facts.

It may be time for her to go. I don't know. I want the best for the city. Let the residents of the city decide who replaces her.

And yet again, you're bringing up the race card. What part of what you wrote don't I want to understand? May I suggest, since you want just the facts, and not making this about race........ you stop bringing race into every comment?

If you truly wanted what's best for the city...... well, let's just say the residents of the city don't have a very good track record of doing what's best for the city. The city has been in decline for years and years in case you haven't noticed. Hell, just this morning I'm reading about multiple shots fired not far from me overnight and that calls to 911 went unanswered. Callers waiting over 3 minutes for 911 to even answer the phone. And another murder downtown at Kiener Plaza yesterday at 3:30 in the afternoon.

I also want what's best for the city, but the residents continue to take the same failed path.

Yeah...I think maybe people outside of St. Louis don't realize how liberal the city and the local newspaper are. And the alarms and disgust with Kim Gardner have been getting louder and louder by the month. it's not just 'white people' that are disgusted with her.

Her own employees are leaving in droves, as they hate working for her, and she's simply a terrible AG. Not because she's black. Not because she's a woman...it's because she's a terrible AG.

You won't hear me say the same thing about the black mayor, Tishaura Jones. Ms. Jones does her job. Ms. Jones isn't a disgrace to her office.

Regarding Kim Gardner, you could put a labrador retriever in the office, and it would do a better job.
