Anyone know a good barber shop in the city? Im limited to the metro so something kind of closer to any link station would be good. I usually just buzz my hair but with my new job and the colder weather I want to get a little more style. Prefer a barber ( bias ever since I went to a Great Clips and a woman screwed it up big time). Any ideas?

Try the Soulard Barbershop on Broadway a few block south of the market.

I tried Wyoming Barber Shop (Wyoming and Grand) and got a pretty good haircut, for a good price ($12 I think). However, I've only been there once so the jury is still out.

Oh yeah I forgot the price. The barbershop in Soulard charges 6.75. Nothing like depression style pricing. I would also recommend going during the week. It can get pretty crowded on Saturdays. Closed Sun and Mon.

I think the key is finding a place that only does mens' hair... as my hubby and 2 sons have all been botched at places like Great Clips, where they get a stylist who rarely does men. My family has been going to the Hair Saloon for men for over a year. They love it and always leave looking great. Several locations, relatively cheap, even one in Webster that may be near the Metro.
