We are moving to Syracuse, NY for my wife's residency of one year and might be staying in Syracuse after or there is a possibility of moving to a near by city to manage a new office. We have two big yellow labs that were trained as Seeing Eye dogs and never bark, bite or make messes. We would like to find a house to rent that we would be able to roll over into a purchase if we end up staying Syracuse. It is just my wife, myself and the two dogs now, kids are grown and on their own.
Can anyone tell me if there are any houses for rent in Syracuse?
We are not finding anything on Rent.com or the Syracuse newspaper.
We really don't want to go back to apartment life like the last 6 years while attending schools. We had our own home for 20 years and it is just too hard to live in an apartment after you have had a house.
Please help if you can.

There are many homes to rent in the area. I'd stick to the suburbs though. The renting areas in the city are either high crime areas or over-run with SU students.

Though, I'm sorry... I'm not sure where you could look them up on the internet. You may want to try to contact a realtor in the Syracuse area.

Hope this helps a little!

I live in Skaneateles. Send a private message if you want help. I have to say, I am not as well versed in Syracuse as I am in my suburb of Skaneateles, but I know where to turn to for expert help. Let me know if I can be of help.

Camillus is a nice area. Close to thruway, hospitals downtown, ten minutes on 690 (when there is no construction) and lots of good schools and business/services.
