Solvay native and Westvale resident Rick Fedrizzi wrote an uplifting piece on Syracuse and efforts to unite the city and university in The Huffington Post on November 8th. Fedrizzi is President of the Washington, D.C.-based U.S Green Building Council (USGBC). While I may not agree with some of the heaping praise Federzzi made toward some elected officials, the essay was well written and gives Syracuse some positive exposure on a high traffic website.

Nice essay and I think the general gist of the essay shows an example of how in a time of partisan politics, that leadership of different types at least try to work for the greater good of the area.
