I think the Carnegie Cafe, which is now in the revamped Hotel on 7th North, is pretty good too. I went to the North Syracuse location though. That one might still be there too, next to Carvel between Brewerton Road and South Bay Road.

My favorite restaurants at the moment are:

Lock 24 in Baldwinsville. In the summer, you can eat outside, watch the lock activity. Good food too, although sometimes the service is slow.

Dominick's--great Italian food. Another good Italian restaurant is Angotti's which to me actually has the better food.

Do you mean King David's? I've eaten at that one once and had decent food and service but nothing to send me rushing back there.

If you have never tried the Calypso Cay in Brewerton you have to give that a shot the food is outstanding and the waterfront eating is great. Also try the dinner or Sunday brunch cruise.

King David's is a little overrated. You should try Munjed's in Westcott.

New question: Best place to pick up fish on a Friday afternoon?

Now I used to go to Hoffmann's in Fairmount for fish on Fridays, maybe the least traditional place you could get it; you had to wait a bit for it to get done, but there were never any lines. Of course, the fact that there were never any lines, is the prime reason why Hoffmann's in Fairmount is closing (if they haven't already).

The best fish I've had in a sit-down restaurant is at Riley's.

I forgot about Riley's, that is one of my favorite local restaurants. I had a great steak there last week.

Where is Riley's? Also, the Fish Cove in Shop City seems to be packed on Friday evenings. There's another place on Teall Ave. in Lyncourt called CJ's that also seems to be packed as well. I think there are Fish Coves in North Syracuse and Liverpool too.

A couple of "hole in the wall" places I've had good fish from are Gregorio's at the corner of West Genesee and Milton in Tipp Hill and Kosta's on East Manlius Street in East Syracuse.
