Can't do powerpoint, still doesn't have USB. Pretty useless. I could play Angry Birds and watch movies I suppose, but I can do these on my laptop, which I have to bring along anyways.... IMO, iPod and iPhone are more than suitable for "at your fingertips" content.

For the short time I had an iPad, I loved it for watching movies on the plane. Although, it was a pain to have to download the film prior to the flight. I don't have the cash to fly first class so I can't use my laptop on the seat tray.
It'd be nice if they had some kind of rental kiosk at the airports where you could download a movie to your tablet via USB cable.

You can project from an iPad using Keynote. It works great! I do it all of the time. Can be done from an iPhone too. I can setup the phone as a remote as well. Keynote can open powerpoint files.

It does not need USB, but there are adapters you can use for USB devices. For Powerpoint (MS Office), I use a computer where I can create very large files I can save to the hard drive. The iPod and iPhone are limited to screen sizes (too small).

I believe that Pages can do the same.
