Ever since I got my Samsung Galaxy tablet, I've encountered a lot of websites (including CD) where the dropdown menu will not work at all (for example, here on CD if I want to search to see if a topic has been discussed, I can't use the dropdown menu to do so).

Today I'm trying to fill out an online form (it happens to be a claim with USPS for a package I mailed that was lost, so I'm trying to recover my dollar loss), and I can't get the dropdown menu to work on either my Galaxy tablet or on my iPad (first time I've ever encountered this problem on my iPad).

I'm especially interested to know how to get dropdown menus to work on the tablet, because that's the device I have the most issues with. I've googled but not found anything helpful.

Thought I'd check with you all here.

I've had a Samsung Tablet (Galaxy Note 10.1) and have had trouble a few times with my browser not sensing me trying to touch-press on a drop-down. I figured out my fingertip was too large and it confused the tablet.
I use a two-finger spread to enlarge the section of the web page so the pull-down is pretty big, and then usually my touch to the drop-down is detected.

If this doesn't help, they try providing the model number of your tablet and you may get more responses from people who are knowledgeable about that specific unit.

I have no experience with your problem so not knowing what to do I would
Download a different browser and see if that works.
Redownload the current browser
Run your malware software
Look in your browser settings for add on programs and get rid of any you do not recognize.
Can you use a mouse with the computer? If you can I would see if that overcomes the touch problem.

I've used CD on my phone and the dropdown menus turn into a multiple choice (radio) buttons. I am using Chrome however and not the "built-in" browser. Chrome is from google and in my experience seems to work best on Android. Firefox should also work well.

Is javascript enabled in the settings? When I use my tablet, I usually have it off. When I need to use features like drop down menus, I temporarily enable it and then refresh the page so they work.

I get paid to build websites.
The menus have to be designed properly to work with both desktop and tablet browsers.
That said, I only check menus with iPads because they are the vast majority of my customers’ visitors.

I have had that happen. Updating the browser or trying a different one normally cures it.
