I lived there for about 2yrs, it was only me and my daughter. Its in a relatively safe neighborhood. Its close to a gas station, laundry mat, winn-dixie, subway, chinese food...I'm actually trying to call them now because my two younger brothers are moving to tallahassee in July...I've lived in alot of apt. in Tallahassee and that was by far one of the better ones for the money, location, and safety. (hope this helps)

Point east is pretty ghetto and run down. It is not a neighborhood but a one street apartment complex dead end road... at the bottom is right by the train tracks. The surrounding neighborhoods are fine though, like Strel said the Blairstone Apartments...You get what you pay for.

It's like a little cul-de-sac just off Mahan if I remember the place correctly. The location is fine (if you don't mind the trains), but as you said the development is kind of on the cheap side and beginning to be run-down.

I seem to recall it was fairly affordable, I knew several graduate students and younger couples still in school living there. That was over ten years ago and the place wasn't so bad then. These days it looks kind of sketchy.

Can you provide the names/addresses of these apartment locations?

Also, can anyone provide the names/addresses of apartment/condo complexes in Killearn Lakes area?

Thanks

I'm glad you found a place!

I still highly recommend Club at Lake Jackson for living because it's the only apartment complex I know that is not on the price hiking City of Tallahassee Utilities. Anyone know of any others that use Talquin?

I just got done painting my place which I meant to do two years ago. The plain white walls really don't do it justice. I've got a fun green going with a darker brown. I have to dump the money into the furniture now! Club at Lake Jackson is also a great area. Canopy Oaks Elementary is literally right across the street.

I recommend to anyone looking for a new home who are not familiar with the area use Tallahassee Online Police Statistics - Disclaimer at least to check on safety. Also look up sex offenders in the vicinity. Do not just take other's words for it.

dont go to Spanish Oaks.. stay away from college area is my advice. I was born and raised here. I am a 24 yr old FSU college grad. Check out "The Paddock Club" apts. at the corner of Miccosukee and Capital Circle.

They are very nice
