Can anyone suggest nice neighborhoods in Tallahassee. I like the area near Lake Jackson but all the neighborhoods I have found are very old.

It looks to me the most popular areas are on Thomasville Road.

I am looking for something close as possible to Commonwealth Blvd.

I would appreciate any information.

I would really like to see a map of all the neighborhoods in Tallahassee with their location but have not been able to find anything online.

IN grad school I had a job for a short while off of Commonwealth. I lived in Southwood and it took roughly 20 minutes along Capitol Circle. Probably the best place to live would be near the highway so that you could zip along I-10 from the NE side of town.... or one of the nicer in town neighborhoods like Betton Woods, then take Tharpe over to Capitol Circle.

Check out Settlers Springs, Settlers Creek, Huntington Woods, Huntington Estates, and Plantation Woods. These are all on Fred George Rd. or Mission Rd., close to Commonwealth. It's a nice area, lots of families.

A bit further north on Old Bainbridge is a nice neighborhood, I can't remember the name but google has it labeled as Duck Lake Point.

There's also a new-ish development on the south side of Fred George between Mission and Capital Circle, I can't remember the name of it, but half of it is essentially rental town homes, but the other half are single family homes. Lots for sale there (my brother rents in this neighborhood).
