looking to move to the area, and pay cash for a home in a desent area.i am in nc now, looking to try to buy something around 50k,and pay for it upfront to help out on the COLlooking for foreclosure, mobile home etc.even a home needing work.i have a 13 y.o son and schools would be a concern as well as a desent neighborhood.my wife also works for a hospital here and would probably need a reasonable distance to travel.i feel i can get a job about anywhere being a auto mechanic.i seen 1 place in wimauma area, and wanted to know how the area was and up to any suggestions in the area.thanks in advance for the replies...

Wimauma is a rural area. I don't know that I would recommend living there. There are a lot of migrant workers in that area too which usually affects school systems due to the fact they move around a lot.

I would check out Land O lakes, citrus park, Odessa or Lutz area. Also Oldsmar or Safety Harbor might work too. It is not going to be easy finding a place in your price range that is in a really good area. There are a few MHPs on W. Hillsborough Ave that are not too bad.

I also would NOT recommend Wimauma. You might check in some of the east Pasco County towns - Dade City, Zephyrhills, etc. or maybe east Hillsborough like Plant City.

Good luck!

k,thanks for the imput,i found 1 place there foreclosure, and around it seems to be 2-300k homes.surely its been in that area awhile or they wouldnt let it be put there now?not sure how florida is as far as zoning goes.i was looking for something outside of the city, kind of country type area, but not terribly to far from the city with looking at the wife traveling to st petersburg/tampa area,to and from work.i think i could go about anywhere in the area to find something.and on another choice,i was tryin to find somehwere close to the gulf side beaches that was nice to go when we wanted....shew,didnt think it be such a tough choice.first and foremost though i would have to say education for the son and her travelin to and from work would have to be the first choices......although it be nice to find something outside sarasota area for the beaches...i found a few other places north of tampa as well but dont know which are somewhat desent areas and whats not.i guess we are looking for country setting with atleast a acre of land, desent schooling, and not far from the tampa area, and somewhat close to the sarasota area for the benefit of the gulf beaches....lol,guess i am asking for too much, just figured maybe there was a place with foreclosures so high in the area i could make the move
......thank you guys for the imput and ears are open to hear from people in the area
