I don't understand why they had to kill it b/c it didn't hurt anybody. Couldn't they have relocated it to some wildlife sanctuary? That would scare the **** out of me if I came home and saw that thing in the house though.

Don't worry I have 2 dogs and never had a problem...btw the little dog loves to run after the lizards and trying to catch them...he succeeded once
